Energy Efficiency needs to be Focus for Governments

The businesstimes.com website of Singapore has recently posted an excellent article about the importance of energy efficiency by Joe Hogan, the CEO of ABB, the Swiss-based company.

I would like to share this with you in full as it is very useful for everyone who works in the energy saving business, in fact it is useful for everyone to realise how important energy efficiency is - which is our focus at Enigin.

The upcoming climate conference, in Copenhagen - Denmark, will place central environmental issues on the international table along with their relative potential solutions.

Carbon emissions are making the Greenland and Antarctica ice sheets melt, and this could soon be irreversible, should immediate action be delayed any further. 

Energy efficiency not only reduces energy consumption, it also reduces carbon emissions. Twenty Ideas That Could Save The World

The UK newspaper The Guardian sponsored hearings on Climate Change in Manchester, England in early July 2009 - here is part of their report of the event, including some of the ideas :

Ask Chris Rapley, the ebullient physicist and director of the Science Museum in London, why he seems more sanguine about our prospects of taming climate change than many of his peers, and he'll tell you about the day he first toured the museum's library and archives.
