Lots Of Business During A Recession

HERE is an interesting piece of footage from the 80s when we were in a previous recessionary period.

This is from Warren Greshes video "Supercharged Selling" and you will notice Warren is a lot younger and there are some interesting fashions in the audience but despite the archaic look what Warren says still applies.

AT Enigin Plc we wanted to be seen by people - we wanted them to see behind the corporate web site and see and get a feel for the real company, the people behind it, who they are and what they do.

We are all used to seeing the slick marketing materials and web sites of companies, the enigin.com website is no exception, that they are faceless brochures, providing information but very little human touch.

Hence the push to start this blog and our related blogs, Ian Wrigley's, Enigin Tech Talk (just added) and the soon to be launched Enigin Direct blog, to reach out to the world.

Blogs are a new way of marketing, as can be seen fromfrom the headline in Business Week, and one that sees a welcome change. Instead of some spin of marketing speak, people are encouraged to be honest, straight forward and open. Many traditonal marketeers are horrified that blogs and such like see companies talking to their clients and others as real people but isn't this something we should all encourage.

Blogs are very good at getting the people behind companies out there, not only introducing themselves but allowing readers to comment and contact the company and individuals directly.
